This morning I attended my first Heygo tour, as recommended by my peer coach. Thank you Joyce! It was really fun having the chance to see places that I might not get a chance to see otherwise. Today, Jorge took us to see The Pink Sea in Cartagena, Columbia. Sadly it wasn't in Spanish, but it was still very cool.
I also re-listened to Language Transfer Track #37. In this one, Mihalis first introduces us to the pronoun for "to him", "to her" and "to them".
For example:
I give him (the baby) - Lo doy
I give to him - Le doy
I give them (the babies) - Los doy
I give to them - Les doy
Oh my goodness, that's the difference between lo, la, le? I agree with you Joyce, I'm going to listen to these Language Transfer tracks again and again probably. Mihalis has such an interesting perspective to teaching language.

That sea looks amazing - am so adding it to my to see list!
ReplyDeleteTotally agree about the tracks - love the way he builds on prior learning and makes those links then slowly removes the scaffolding. I´ve also decided to listen to the tracks again. I went back to 4 and am starting from there.
It was really pink! But it's not pink all year round, so remember to check the seasons before you eventually go.
DeleteGood for your for starting back at #4!
Glad you did a Heygo tour…they had several in Spanish earlier, but I think there’s only one coming up and it’s mostly English, but a lot of Spanish thrown in ..
ReplyDeleteOf course, in direct object and indirect object…there is la…
The next step would be to put both the indirect and the direct object in the same sentence!
Baby steps, Joyce!
Deleteand thank you for letting me know about Heygo. Our tour guide Jorge was struggling with the sound because of the wind that day. But he tried so hard and it was still amazing to see it, albeit virtually.
